What kind of materials are used?

Where possible we prefer to use reclaimed solid timber. Some of the best furniture making timber is found in old buildings. Back in the day they used the best quality hardwood to build houses and other structures. These trees can take decades and centuries to grow. As time goes on not only are they becoming more scarce but it is also becoming more questionable to harvest them. Luckily there is still some amazing timber to be found in old buildings, using these materials in furniture saves them from landfill and gives a new life to something destined to be thrown out. We also prefer the rustic character that only comes with old/used materials.

It also is more difficult to source so when it isn’t available or on request other timbers can be used.
