Measure your hide at its longest point from neck to tail and at its widest point from front leg to front leg, or back leg to back leg.
We allow an additional 100mm to these measurements, providing approximately a 50mm border around the hide within the frame.

How is the price calculated?
Pricing depends on the size of the frame, timber finish, if Acrylic is included and if MDF painting is required.
The pricing options on the product page provide an indication, but we can provide a more accurate quote once we know the dimensions and requirements of your hide.

What is Acrylic?
Acrylic is a clear, durable material that looks similar to glass but is lighter and more impact-resistant. It provides excellent clarity for displaying your hide while helping keep the overall weight of the case down.

What LED options are available?
The frame comes with an integrated LED lighting system, powered through a small transformer and standard 240V household plug.
The transformer is generally mounted on the outside of the frame at the top or bottom, depending on the size of the frame and where you would like it positioned.
If you'd prefer the electrical components to be completely concealed, this can be arranged. A licensed electrician will be required to make the electrical connection within the wall.

Do I need to paint the MDF backing?
The MDF backing comes with one side pre-primed in white and ready for you to apply the paint colour of your choice. If you prefer a complete, ready-to-install finish, we also offer professional painting as an optional extra.

How is the hide mounted?

The frame is supplied with tacks for mounting your hide to the backing board. The system is designed to make installation simple, so anyone can mount the hide themselves.
If you’d prefer, full installation of the frame including mounting of the hide can be arranged for an additional cost within the Melbourne area.
How is the frame installed?

The frame is designed for straightforward wall installation. A supplied split batten is securely fixed across two wall studs, and the frame is then lifted onto the battens.
Once installed, the LED system can be plugged into a standard wall outlet, or alternatively a licensed electrician can assist to create a power connection concealed within the wall.
Detailed installation instructions are provided with the frame. Depending on your experience and the installation location, professional assistance may be recommended.

Lead times can vary throughout the year depending on current demand. We'll provide an estimated timeframe when your order is confirmed.
No. The frame is designed for your own hide to be mounted inside. If required, frames can be supplied complete with a hide of your choice already mounted at an additional cost.
